Best way to get rid of stretch marks?

I was really fat when I was younger, and when i had my stretch marks they were red and ugly, but now I lost a ton of weight like 3-4 years ago maybe even five but i have clear stretch marks where the red ugly ones used to be. I've been trying Vaseline that has cocoa er in it and sometimes it feels like it is working but it is still there... i got into an accident in December and gained about 20lbs slowly throughout the 4 months, luckily the stretchies did not return but now my stomach is kind of drooping, I'm finally moving again to change that problem, but does anyone know if there is a way to get rid of these old stretchies? they are so embarring for going out to the beach :(
