Almost New Toshiba Satellite won't finish Booting Up?

Less than a month old Toshiba Satellite laptop running Windows 7. Battery died before we finished booting down. Now it boots up to the screen just before you get to desktop but doesn't go any further. Tried booting in safe mode and it booted up...in safe mode. Then restarted and got to right before desktop and hung again. What do I do to get this thing to finish booting up? Tks.
