Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering at an American University?

I am from Australia but am considering doing an Aerospace Engineering course in America, can anyone tell me how hard it is to get in when you are from another country or what universities are thought to be at the top of their field for aerospace engineering, or where a company such as NASA hires students from?
